Deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation Alexander Shoitov said that the government is working on a law on artificial intelligence (AI). According to him, one of the main areas of work in this area is data depersonalization.
“Obviously, this area needs to be regulated, and we are doing it, the relevant regulation is being prepared. One of the directions is data depersonalization. We are talking about step by step in pilot projects, increasing technologies, moving to general regulation, expanding, scaling the right solutions,” said Mr. Shoitov “RIA News”.
Alexander Shoitov noted that now in Russia there is no law on AI. “Yes, it is being developed,” he said in response to the question whether such a document is being developed.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Economy Maxim Reshetnikov reported that the government is considering the possibility of obliging companies to use AI when receiving industry support measures. In turn, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, said that companies practically do not enjoy income tax benefits when using AI in their work.
