The Ministry of Digital Development proposed to provide Gostekh with access to secrets protected by law

The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation has prepared a project in which it is proposed to appoint a single digital platform “Gostekh” as the operator of information systems containing certain types of secrets protected by law. This follows from document on the official portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
Changes are proposed to be made to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of March 31. It states that “the creation, development and operation of state information systems” using Gostekh is not carried out in cases “if they contain information constituting official secrets,” including in the field of defense and legal proceedings.
The Ministry of Digital Development proposes to make changes that allow the use of Gostekh and its individual tools to create state information systems “containing certain types of secrets protected by law,” with the exception of state secrets.
By the end of 2023, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, systems or parts of systems of 24 federal and 11 regional executive authorities will be transferred to the Gostekh platform. In addition, in 2024 it is planned to transfer the unified state real estate register to Gostekh. In total, 101 services have been instructed to be transferred to the platform by 2025.
