The Ministry of Digital Development is reviewing the standards for training specialists in cybersecurity

The head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev said that the department decided to revise the standards for training specialists in the field of cybersecurity. The update is being prepared taking into account the current level of threats, the minister specified.

“We generally love cybersecurity and believe that we should pay more attention to the training of specialists in the field of cybersecurity. Now industry standards, professional standards for training specialists in the field of cybersecurity are being reviewed in order to comply with the current level of technology and threats,” Mr. Shadayev said. “RIA News”.

According to him, it is necessary that students entering IT specialties be “qualitatively trained”. In this regard, the department is revising industry professional standards for the training of specialists.

According to MTS RED, the total number of cyber attacks on Russian companies in April-June has grown almost doubled, up to 12.7 thousand incidents. Hackers have become especially active against IT companies – the number of such attacks has increased to 4 thousand. Meanwhile, according to experts, the volume of the Russian cybersecurity market in the next few years will grow by an average of 24% per year and by 2027 will amount to 559 billion rubles.
