The Ministry of Culture did not renew the contract with the artistic director of the BDT Andrey Moguchiy
Contract with the artistic director of the BDT named after G.A. Tovstonogov Andrei Moguchiy completed its action on April 9. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation on Wednesday.
Moguchy has served as artistic director of the BDT since 2013. Now the management of the theater has passed to the director of the institution, Tatyana Arkhipova.
The Ministry of Culture reported that “a new charter of the Russian State Academic Bolshoi Drama Theater named after G.A. Tovstonogov, according to which the general management .. will be carried out by the director of the institution, ”and the term of Moguchiy’s current contract“ ended on April 9th ”.
