They became the little squirrel Gridosha
In mid-November, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation announced a funny competition – it invited readers of its official social networks to choose the best tailed keeper. There were five applicants: Gvidosha the squirrel from the Ostafyevo museum-estate, oxen Grishka and Mishka from the M. Sholokhov museum-reserve, Laska the horse from the Gorki Leninskiye museum-reserve, Petya the cockerel from the Y. Gagarin museum-reserve and the Kron horse from Museum-reserve “Tsarskoye Selo” Guidosha won 42% of the votes.
The squirrel turned out to be a whole story. At first, a name was chosen for him by competition, and each proposal was illustrated with a children’s drawing. The winner was a seven-year-old boy from Podolsk, who proposed not only a name, but also a house in the form of a Russian terem for a squirrel. Teremok was built, the name was given.
Then they organized a competition for the main tailed keeper, which took place in two stages – first there was a qualifying round, and then the final one. As a result, Gvidosha overtook his main competitors, which were the oxen Grishka and Mishka from the museum-reserve of M. A. Sholokhov – they scored 38% of the vote.
The little squirrel even has its own tg-channel, where it talks about the estate on its behalf – the audience can, as if through the eyes of a rodent, observe museum events. However, there are only 375 subscribers.
Among the comments on the ministerial post about the squirrel (and there are about the same number of them as Guidosha’s subscribers) there are critical and skeptical ones. For example: “It would be better if the only school in the entire district in Gorki Leninsky were restored and opened!”. Or: “Surely employees of subordinate institutions vote. What else is left for them?
