The Marker robot will be equipped with the BAS-80 kamikaze drone

The Marker robot will be armed with the BAS-80 small-sized kamikaze drone, Yevgeny Dudorov, executive director of the developer company Androidnaya Tekhnika, told RIA Novosti. These robots are used in the military operation in Ukraine.

Mr. Dudorov said that the mass of the BAS-80 without a warhead is 1.7 kg, the potential volume of the warhead is about 600 g with the possibility of increasing, the flight range is up to 30 km, the flight time is up to 18 minutes. According to him, these drones are lighter and cheaper than those currently used in the Russian army, but “their tasks are also simpler.”

“We have created our own aircraft-type drone, while the development has the working title BAS-80. Now this drone is being tested without a warhead, but, of course, it will have a strike orientation. Initially, this UAV was created to equip the “Marker”. For the first time, we launched it from this platform,” he specified.

At the end of January, the head of the group of military advisers and the Tsarskie Wolves scientific and technical center, the former head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin reportedthat the loading of four ground-based Marker drones has begun to be sent to the zone of military operation in Ukraine. He arguedthat these UAVs can hit tanks. At the beginning of February he told about the arrival of the first military robots “Marker” in the zone of military operation.
