Animator, director and artist Ralph Eggleston has died, Deadline reports. He died at the age of 56 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The cause of death was reported to be pancreatic cancer.
As a production designer, Eggleston worked in the cartoons Toy Story, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Cars and others.
In 2002, the artist received an Oscar for the animated film About the Birds, he acted in it as a director and screenwriter. Ralph Eggleston has won three Annie Awards during his career.
