Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin traditionally takes part in the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). He expressed hope that the president would also visit the forthcoming March congress of the RSPP.
“As for the March event of the RSPP, you know that it takes place once a year, traditionally the president takes part. We can hope that such communication will take place this year as well. Of course, this is important. The current moment is quite unprecedented,” said Mr. Peskov during a press call. He added that the agenda “could be quite extensive.”
The Kremlin representative was also asked whether it is planned to involve big business in meeting the needs of the armed forces. “Here I can’t say anything yet. I will leave this without comment,” Dmitry Peskov replied, but admitted that this topic could be raised at a meeting with members of the RSPP.
