At the same time, the Kremlin speaker recalled that the head of the Bolshoi Theater is not appointed by the president. There are no decisions on this issue yet.
Peskov also denied reports that during a trip to St. Petersburg, Russian President Vladimir Putin communicated with Vladimir Urin and Valery Gergiev.
This was preceded by reports that the director of the Bolshoi Theater Vladimir Urin left his post, writing voluntary resignation letter addressed to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
At the same time, the head of the State Academic Mariinsky Theater Valery Gergiev, commenting on the news about his possible appointment to the post of head of the joint directorate of the Mariinsky and Bolshoi theaters, said that he considers it necessary work for the good of Russiabut did not specifically look for opportunities to work even more.
