Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov did not answer the question whether Russia has alternative plans for conducting financial transactions with China. Bloomberg previously reported that Chinese banks are introducing restrictions on Russian clients after US threats.
“You know that the Kremlin does not engage in financial transactions; this is the prerogative of other departments and, above all, those companies that take part in foreign economic activity. In each case, separate channels, separate systems are implemented,” Mr. Peskov told Kommersant FM. At the same time, he noted that Russian-Chinese relations are developing, and “the results of this interaction exceed expectations.”
