In Russian pharmacies there is a shortage of the original drug Micardis, which is prescribed for arterial hypertension (a disease characterized by high blood pressure, in some cases it can lead to a heart attack). An employee of one of the pharmaceutical companies reported this to Vedomosti. He recalls that the German Boehringer Ingelheim is producing this medicine, but it has not officially announced the cessation of its activities in Russia.
According to the online pharmacy aggregator Megapteka, Micardis, in particular, is not available in any of the pharmacies in Moscow and the Moscow region, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, and Saratov. The situation with the shortage of this drug was also confirmed in the regional network “Pharmacy 25” and the federal “Rigle”. In partner pharmacies of the Zdravcity marketplace, the number of packages of the drug Micardis began to decline in August, says its CEO Boris Popov.
