Director General of Rosatom Alexei Likhachev and head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi arrived at the building of Rosatom on Ordynka in Moscow. The parties will discuss safety issues of the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
The video of the arrival of the heads of Rosatom and the IAEA was published by TASS in Telegram channel.It is expected that Mr. Grossi will hold meetings in Moscow with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard and Rostekhnadzor. The meeting of the head of the IAEA with President Vladimir Putin is not planned.
Rafael Grossi in recent weeks repeatedly said on progress in negotiations with the Russian Federation and Ukraine on the establishment of a security zone around the Zaporizhzhya NPP. In October, by presidential decree, the station passed to Russian jurisdiction. It is managed by a subsidiary of Rosatom, Rosenergoatom.
