The head of the Ministry for the Development of the Far East invited Russia to act during the sanctions according to the canons of Sun Tzu

The head of the Ministry for the Development of the Far East, Alexei Chekunov, believes that under the sanctions, Russia should follow the eastern path and adhere to the canons of the ancient Chinese philosopher Sun Tzu, the author of the treatise The Art of War. Aleksey Chekunov expressed this opinion in his article for RBC.

The eastern path that Russia must follow will not be quick, Mr. Chekunov believes. However, according to him, he will be successful. “The turn to the East should take place not just by changing partners, but by changing the paradigm,” believes Alexey Chekunov. At the same time, the battle for technology cannot be won head-on, taking “everything that is missing” from China.

“This is a campaign for several generations, where each previous one passes the next true pass,” the minister said. The minister believes that the first victory in this company is the rapid economic growth that can be achieved through increased investment.

The second factor for victory in this campaign, according to Mr. Chekunov, is the development of the resource base of the Far East and the Arctic. The third and main factor is investment in education. Aleksey Chekunov argues that the best way to invest the money raised from high prices for natural resources is to educate and train “the people of the future.”
