The general director of the Chelyabinsk Kurchatov Airport, Vitaly Kashin, was removed from his post. Information about this was confirmed to Kommersant by the press service of Novaport-Holding LLC.
The reason for the dismissal was the brawl that Vitaly Kashin caused on January 6 during a flight to St. Petersburg. According to Mash, the general director was on board a Rossiya Airlines plane in a state of intoxication. During the flight, Vitaly Kashin began to insult the crew of the ship and the airline itself. Upon arrival at Pulkovo airport, he was detained by transport police. An administrative protocol has been drawn up against Vitaly Kashin for hooliganism on board an aircraft.
The press service of Novaport Holding LLC comments that “the incident that occurred on January 6 on a Rossiya Airlines flight indicates a dishonest attitude towards his duties by one of the managers of a large airline. For unacceptable behavior and non-compliance with the standards and values of Novaport-Holding LLC, the general director of the Chelyabinsk airport was removed from his position.”
