The government will expand opportunities for soft loans for software companies, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting with deputy prime ministers. He clarified that companies will be able to use funds for incentive payments to employees and for reimbursement of past expenses,
“The government is expanding opportunities for companies to receive preferential loans for the implementation of new projects with a maximum rate of 3% per annum. Now they can be issued by accredited enterprises that did not enjoy tax preferences provided for IT business, as well as the right to reduced insurance premiums. Previously, such a condition was mandatory, ”explained Mr. Mishustin (quote from RIA Novosti).
Since 2022, the Russian authorities have taken a number of measures to support technology companies. In particular, the government liberated IT companies from taxes for three years and granted their employees a reprieve from the army, as well as launched for them a preferential mortgage at 5%. In January 2023, the government expanded preferential mortgage program for IT-specialists.
