The bill of the head of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy Andrei Kutepov (representing St. Petersburg), which gives the Cabinet of Ministers the right to set requirements for the level of localization of passenger taxi cars, was generally supported by the government commission on legislative activities. The corresponding review was approved at a commission meeting on October 30 (Vedomosti has read the document).

But at the same time, it will be necessary to eliminate the existing comments on the bill before it is submitted to the State Duma. In particular, the government commission considers it expedient to give the subjects of the Federation the right to establish the minimum number of Russian-assembled passenger taxis in the region and localization requirements for them. In addition, these requirements for taxis should be differentiated depending on the characteristics of the fleet in a particular municipality, the review says.
