The Russian government has supported a bill banning foreign analysts from researching Russian commodity markets, they reported “Izvestia” in the office.
Deputies propose to regulate the activities of companies that explore consumer markets in Russia and whose revenue is at least 30 million rubles. The government asked deputies to justify the reason why this particular figure was chosen.
The bill was introduced in July. The document proposes to allow the analysis of Russian commodity markets only to companies whose authorized capital is 80% owned by Russian individuals or legal entities. Izvestia’s source stated that the initiative was supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice and the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
