The government refused to provide grant support to Russian analogues of foreign services, follows from the roadmap for the development of the National System-wide Software. The companies will be able to implement their projects at the expense of concessional loans. The Russian analogues of TikTok and Instagram were not included in the final version of the “map”.
The Ministry of Digital Development reported RBCthat the projects of the service from IVA Technologies (an analogue of the program for video conferencing Zoom), the mail platform “Mail 2.0” from Rosatom and the VK Teams system will be implemented at the expense of the companies’ own funds.
The department explained that the grant support “is not optimal” for the “communication services” direction, since these are already “mature services that are not inferior to Western counterparts.” However, companies will be able to qualify for a preferential rate on loans. “The corresponding application from IVA Technologies has already been received, the amount of required debt financing is 50 million rubles,” a representative of the department said.
At the expense of state grants, the government intends to finance the development of five programs for the recognition of generated content (deep fakes), follows from the road map. The document notes that by 2025 it is necessary to provide a solution that will be able to recognize at least 70% of fake content.
