Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, said that the ban on fuel exports led to a decrease in exchange prices by an average of 20% for gasoline and 16% for diesel. As additional measures to stabilize prices, the government proposed increasing the duty on petroleum products for resellers (those who do not produce fuel) from 20 thousand to 50 thousand rubles. and ban the export of fuel that was purchased on the market.

Alexander Novak also said that the increase in wholesale fuel prices in the last two days after the government limited its exports is normal – this is a “correction” of the market, which reflects the real situation on the market. According to him, unscrupulous traders were removed from fuel trading.

As Alexander Novak reported, as measures to stabilize the fuel, the government also proposes adjusting the damper by increasing the coefficient, which was reduced from September 1; as well as limiting “gray” exports and controlling fuel markups at gas stations and subsidizing fuel oil supplies to certain regions.

“The price situation in the domestic market is stabilizing, the operational measures taken ensure the restoration and stable operation of the small wholesale segment, independent gas station networks, and the work of agricultural producers. In the near future we will make decisions on all systemic additional measures,” assured Alexander Novak.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that over the past two months, stock prices for gasoline have increased by 15%, diesel – by 30%. At the same time, gasoline production over eight months increased by 3.3%, diesel fuel by 6.4%. The price of oil in rubles increased 1.5 times and in September exceeded 8 thousand rubles. per barrel.

On September 21, the government banned the export of gasoline and diesel fuel, with the exception of exports to the EAEU countries according to indicative balances or protocols, under intergovernmental agreements. Prices began to decline, but after a government adjustment that allowed the export of marine fuels, gas oils and middle distillates, they began to rise again.

Earlier today, Interfax, citing several sources in the fuel market reportedthat the FAS requested data on domestic and export transactions from traders and oil depots.
