The government has deferred the payment of the recycling fee for domestic automakers that have entered into special investment contracts (SPICs). About it informs cabinet press office.
“The deadline for paying the recycling fee for the IV quarter of 2022 and for the I-III quarters of 2023 will be postponed to December 15, 2023,” the message says.
Thus, the Cabinet of Ministers expects to help Russian automakers cope with the problem of a shortage of working capital and create a stock of spare parts for the smooth operation of factories.
Recycling fee is a one-time payment for each piece of equipment produced or imported into the country. The payment is positioned as an environmental fee, it is designed to compensate for the costs of future disposal of equipment.
The recycling fee has been in effect in Russia since September 2012. Initially, it applied only to importers, but since 2014, the payment has also been introduced for Russian automakers. At the same time, industrial subsidies are provided for domestic producers, which compensate for the payment.
