First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov instructed the Ministry of Energy to prepare and submit proposals for expanding coal export routes, as well as for setting transport tariffs for coal export through the ports of southern Russia. This was announced on August 29 by the press service of the government.
Following the meeting on the current situation in the regions with the export of coal, Belousov noted that Russian enterprises have increased the need for exports through the ports of the Azov-Black Sea basin (ACB; Taman, Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Temryuk, Rostov-on-Don. – Vedomosti) , therefore, it is important to ensure “transparent pricing at all stages of the supply chain, from loading into wagons to pricing for transshipment in ports.” The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Transport, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Russian Railways, as well as the heads of coal-mining regions of the Russian Federation, the release says.
