Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution simplifying the procedure for admitting Russian transport companies to international road transportation. The government noted that such a decision would reduce business costs and increase foreign trade volumes.

According to the document, from September 1, the period for providing services for obtaining admission of Russian transport companies to international road transportation will be reduced from 20 to 5 working days.

Also, from September, the number of documents that must be submitted to obtain admission will be reduced. Depending on the requirements for carriers of certain cargoes, transport companies will be able to send from one to three documents to Rostransnadzor. The rest can be obtained within the framework of the interdepartmental electronic interaction system.

Russian road transport showed growth in 2023, primarily in domestic traffic. At the same time, trade exchange with Georgia and Armenia, whose indicators were actively growing in 2022, has slowed down. Communication with Kazakhstan has also become complicated. Belarus remains the leader in external transportation; Communications with China are growing threefold.
