The Russian government has approved a decision to allocate radio frequencies in the range 5030–5091 MHz to create a unified infrastructure for managing civilian drones. Relevant resolution signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
In government notedthat such a measure is aimed at providing radio frequency resources to drone users and is relevant for building a unified infrastructure. Thus, the current table for the distribution of radio frequency bands is brought into line with the decisions taken by the State Commission on Radio Frequencies.
On April 27, a meeting on the development of unmanned aircraft was held with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He called this industry the most important activity of the country and appreciated its volume is 1 trillion rubles. According to Kommersant’s information, Rostec and Almaz-Antey proposed that the government organize systemic monitoring of drone flights in Russia. However, the project has not yet received official support at the federal level.
