Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed order on the appointment of Vladislav Isaev to the post of general director of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). He was appointed head of Zaporizhia NPP for a period of two years. Mr. Isaev replaced Yuri Chernichuk in his post.

Yuri Chernichuk has worked at the nuclear power plant since 1993. He began his career at the plant as a reactor department operator. In November 2022, he took the position of first deputy head of ZNPP Operating Organization JSC—director of ZNPP.

Zaporozhye NPP is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe; since October 2022, it has been under the control of Rosenergoatom JSC (a subsidiary of Rosatom). In mid-March, Russia accused Ukraine of shelling the critical infrastructure of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. On March 22, one of the two power lines supplying the station was switched off at Zaporizhzhya NPP; it was restored on the same day.

About the situation at the station – in the material “Kommersant” “Arrival not on schedule”.
