The government allowed the transportation of petroleum products accepted for export by Transneft and Russian Railways before the ban on the export of petroleum products, introduced on September 21. The draft retains key restrictions prohibiting the export of most gasoline and diesel fuel, the agency notes. The ministry did not comment on this information.
According to Rosstat, retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel increased by 9.4% from the beginning of the year to September 18. Against this background, the government announced on the introduction of temporary restrictions on the export of motor gasoline and diesel fuel to stabilize the domestic market.
