Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed resolution, according to which a temporary ban on gasoline exports is introduced from March 1 to August 31. The minimum volume of diesel fuel sales on the exchange increases from 12.5% to 16%.
“The decisions taken are aimed at maintaining a stable situation in the fuel market during a period of increased demand associated with spring field work, the holiday season and planned repairs of oil refineries,” the government press service reported in Telegram channel.
The ban will not apply to supplies under international intergovernmental agreements. These include an agreement with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union for the supply of fuel for personal use or humanitarian assistance.
A ban on gasoline exports was also introduced in September 2023. The purpose of the embargo was to saturate the domestic market with fuel and reduce prices. October 6 government weakened embargo, allowing pipeline exports of diesel fuel. November 17th was canceled ban on gasoline exports, November 22 — for the export of summer diesel fuel.
