The government has extended quotas for the export of mineral fertilizers from Russia

For the first five months of 2023 (from January 1 to May 31, 2023), quotas for the export of mineral fertilizers from Russia will be in effect. In total, it will be possible to export a little more than 11.8 million tons.
The corresponding decree was signed press office government of the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has been entrusted with distributing volumes among exporters. Quotas will not apply to the supply of fertilizers to Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
The government noted that the decision was aimed at maintaining sufficient volumes of fertilizers in the domestic market.
Similar measures were taken in May. Quotas are valid until December 31st. With subsequent changes, their total volume in 2022 amounted to about 15 million tons.
