The Government Commission on Legislative Activities approved the Rosfinmonitoring bill on limiting the maximum one-time size of money transfers without opening a bank account. The initiative applies to people who have undergone simplified personal identification. If an individual needs to make a one-time transfer of a larger amount than 100 thousand rubles, then full identification will be required, a representative of Rosfinmonitoring told RBC. In this case, the electronic means of payment will become personalized, the limit will increase to 600 thousand rubles.
Rosfinmonitoring initially in 2022 offered introduce a limit of 60 thousand rubles. However, in March 2023, the department initiated introduction of a limit of 100 thousand rubles. Market participants proposed setting a limit of 600 thousand rubles.
