Friends and colleagues remember the artist who tragically died at the age of 27

Grigory Nekrasov, a close friend of the Stanislavsky electric theater actor Kirill Turutin, who died on January 18, shared with MK touching memories of his colleague and like-minded person

“We met when I was graduating from the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, and Kirill was enrolling in Veniamin Filshtinsky’s course. We met in the yard – I thought: what an interesting, funny person. And he looked at me in surprise. After graduating from the institute, Kirill ended up in the MIR (Individual Directing Workshop) laboratory of the electric theater and we agreed to study Shakespeare together. We’ve become friends since then,” Nekrasov said.

“He called me his friend all the time, but I objected: you’re not a friend, they confuse us all the time – they call me Kiryusha, and they call you Grisha.” I treat you like a younger brother.

It so happened that we “mixed”, adopting each other’s features. And since they were “brothers,” they could stand on the stairs and yell: “You don’t understand!” “No, you’re the one who doesn’t understand anything, you’re selfish, so-and-so!” We exhaled. Calm down.

“As a person, Kiryukha for me was and remains a kind and very sympathetic person. I didn’t have a shift at the theater – he noticed this and gave me sneakers for New Year. I bragged about everything, and he was worried that he gave me something, but not others. In general, he always came to the rescue, lent money – we had them in turn,” our interlocutor admits.

Grigory Nekrasov feels guilty that he now has to talk about his comrade everywhere; Kirill himself did not like this.

A friend had to organize Turutin’s funeral – only there he learned that during his years of service in the theater he had many “romantic victories”:

– His first love wrote to me to convey his condolences to his mother, then the girls came, a lot. I even became a little jealous – how many there are.

Only the friends began to have a bright streak, money came, real roles in the theater – Kirill passed away.

“He lay in a coma for two days and then died. I made posts everywhere that there would be a funeral, money was being collected. One girl director got in touch. We met and she told me: just when Kirill was in a coma, she had a dream. Like, she is looking for an actor to play the main role in her project. A guy with long hair comes (in a dream) and suggests – I have a friend, try him, he will suit you. When she saw the post, she recognized Kirill – although they did not know each other,” Gregory told an almost mystical story.
