The head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS), Dmitry Shugaev, said that Russia’s military operation in Ukraine has increased the interest of foreign partners in Russian weapons. With these words, he addressed the winners of the XXII national award “Golden Idea”.
The national award “Golden Idea” was established by the FSMTC in 2001. It is awarded for the contribution to the development of military-technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and foreign states and the increase in the competitiveness of products of the military-industrial complex.
“The special military operation has significantly increased the interest of foreign partners in Russian weapons. Many of them have shown their effectiveness in the course of combat use. In this regard, it is possible to predict with a high degree of certainty a further increase in demand for domestically produced military products in operation, ”says Mr. Shugaev in an address read by his deputy Mikhail Petukhov (quoted by RIA Novosti).
In August, the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, said that Russia concluded contracts for the supply of military equipment abroad for more than 1 trillion rubles. At the same time, he said that the impact of the military operation on supplies is not observed, and the export rates are comparable to those of previous years.
