The restaurateur noted that “Teremok” has long ceased to be an institution that sells only pancakes. “Now we are trying to move from food courts to our own restaurants with a seating area,” Goncharov said.
The understanding that Teremok’s food is above the level of food courts came 7-8 years ago. “We just put food from McDonald’s and Teremok nearby at the food court. And it’s just like heaven and earth, both in appearance, and in taste, and in quality. And then we realized: if we offer our food in a beautiful restaurant with good furniture, with real dishes, with cutlery, then this will probably be a big plus for the consumer,” the restaurateur said.
The hypothesis was confirmed, so Teremok has been opening only restaurants for the past six years, Goncharov specified.
The Teremok restaurant chain has been operating since 1998. On the website, the company positions itself as the largest chain in Russia in the fast casual segment. The network includes 172 establishments.
