The founder of Anderson Tatulova commented on information about tax evasion

Former business ombudsman for small and medium-sized businesses Anastasia Tatulova rejected information about claims against the Anderson cafe chain she founded in connection with non-payment of taxes. Today, November 24, Telegram channel Shot reported a tax audit online. It was alleged that Ms. Tatulova divided the business into dozens of legal entities in order to reduce the amount of tax deductions.

“All my taxes have been paid, I am not aware of any claims against me personally from any services. We are and have always been a socially responsible business, we created jobs, paid market wages, paid all taxes in full, and did a lot of charity work,” said Ms. Tatulova Forbes.

She suggested that Shot wrote about an audit that took place in November 2022 (the Telegram channel did not specify the date of the tax audit). Then Anastasia Tatulova said that Federal Tax Service officers came to 17 cafes of the chain with a resolution to confiscate documents and equipment. The audit could have been related to suspicions of tax evasion, however, according to Ms. Tatulova, the Federal Tax Service employees “didn’t find anything.” Since then, “no one from the Federal Tax Service has contacted her or found out anything.”

On November 20, Kommersant reported that the retailer Vkusvill bought the brand and main assets of the Anderson chain. According to SPARK, as part of the transaction, the company became the owner of three legal entities of Tatulova’s restaurant chain: Anderson Franchising LLC, Ikke LLC and TD Anderson LLC. In conversation with RBC Anastasia Tatulova explained that the sale is not related to tax audits, and the transaction has been discussed since 2019.

Anastasia Tatulova founded the Anderson network in 2009. The chain includes a confectionery factory and about 40 cafes, mostly operating as franchises in Moscow, the Moscow region, Tyumen, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Krasnodar, Arkhangelsk, and also in Kazakhstan. From July 2020 to April 2022, Ms. Tatulova served as Ombudsman for the Protection of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.
