One of the founders of the Early Music festival, popularizer of baroque music and ex-violinist of the Aquarium group, Alexei Reshetin, at the age of 59, signed up as a volunteer and left for the NVO zone.

He explained “Fontanka”since the St. Petersburg Committee for Culture did not give him money to hold the next festival, then it remains for him to serve the fatherland in the best way he can.

The violinist recalled that he had served in a construction battalion and had some idea of ​​what happens during military operations. The musician said that he is very hardy and his health is all right.

“Adult mature uncles should be there and die, and not some boys from Yakutia, Tuva and Chechnya. Adults, established, who managed to do everything, ”he stressed.

Andrey Reshetin participated in the recording of two albums by the Aquarium group, Favorite Songs of Ramses IV and Kostroma mon amour (1986 and 1991). In 1991 he founded the Early Music Festival with Marc de Mony and Elizabeth White. In 2007 he founded the ensemble of early music Soloists of Catherine the Great.
