The company’s abbreviated name is “AGR Automobile Plant”. Its general director is Alexey Kalitsev. Since 2017, he has been managing director of Hyundai Motor CIS and was responsible for the development strategy of the Hyundai and Genesis brands in Russia.
From March 1, 2022, the Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg suspended work due to logistics problems. In January 2024, the company announced the closing of a transaction for the sale of 100% of the authorized capital of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus LLC. After this, the LLC became part of the AGR group (a subsidiary of Art Finance). Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov saidthat serial production at the site should begin in the second quarter of this year.
