The first Swed House store selling IKEA products has opened in Russia

The opening of the first store of the Belarusian company Swed House, which sells goods from the Swedish IKEA, took place in the Schelkovsky shopping center in Moscow, TASS reports. The store presents kitchen goods, furniture accessories, textiles.
The store covers an area of 330 sq. The head of the Union of Shopping Centers, Bulat Shakirov, said that in 2023 Swed House could open ten stores in Moscow with an area of up to 1,000 sq. m. m, and in the coming years – up to 50 stores throughout Russia. On the shop page “In contact with” it is said that it sells IKEA products and goods under the Swed House brand, produced in factories in Russia, China, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
In June 2022 IKEA announced about leaving the Russian market. The local assets of the company were put up for sale. In February 2023, the Union of Shopping Centers of Russia concluded cooperation agreement with Swed House.
