The comedy “Holidays” became the leader in film distribution in Russia over the weekend. The film collected about 40 million rubles, reported kinobusiness.com. In the CIS, the horror film “Curse of the Nun 2” collected the most money.
Leaders of film distribution in the Russian Federation and the CIS on September 7–10:
- “Curse of the Nun 2” (without Russia and Belarus) – 41 million rubles;
- “Holidays” – 39.5 million rubles;
- “Lady Bug and Cat Noir: The Force Awakens” – 37.8 million rubles. (total – 830 million rubles);
- “Baba Yaga saves the world” – 23 million rubles. (RUB 479.3 million);
- “I’m taking a step” – 18.9 million rubles.
In total, Russian cinemas collected about 315–320 million rubles over the weekend. Revenue is down 9-10% from last week, but is 58-59% higher than a year ago.
