The list of enterprises under external management, if necessary, can be expanded, said press office The Federal Property Management Agency, commenting on the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on retaliatory measures in the event of the seizure of Russian assets abroad.
The department noted that the decree introduces external management pointwise, in relation to generating assets of paramount importance. Such an approach, in particular, eliminates the risks of the influence of the political position of a number of unfriendly countries on the economic and energy security of Russia, the press service said.
25 April Vladimir Putin signed a decree that provides for the introduction of temporary management of the property of companies associated with foreign countries in the event of blocking Russian assets in these countries. According to the document, 83.73% of the shares of the Russian Unipro (owned by the German concern Uniper) and 98% of the shares of Fortum (owned by the Finnish Fortum) are transferred under the temporary management of the Federal Property Management Agency. Temporary management of assets of unfriendly countries may be terminated by decision of the President of the Russian Federation.
