The favorite of the public “Eurovision” Finn Käärijä revealed plans: “Do not sing in English”

Finn quickly flew into the top ten singles in the British charts, on this occasion he was interviewed by the most advanced publications of the pop industry. At home, the guy was also warmly welcomed – albeit with second place, but with the insane love of the public, reaching to heaven, he became a real national hero. “ZD” has collected the most interesting of the statements of the new European pop star.

At the Helsinki airport, enthusiastic fans shouted “Kaaria is our winner!” when the artist returned to his homeland. “Sagittarius” (one of the meanings of the word Käärijä) shot, if not at the bullseye, then at its tail. Fans threw themselves on his neck and gave him flowers. Video from the airport immediately flew around all local TV channels. Kaaria, without taking off his signature green suit, immediately visited various television studios and everywhere said that now he wants only one thing – to go on vacation and spend time with friends and family, because he had not seen everyone for a long time due to rehearsals and trips. “Although the time for the big race is over and the attention of the media is riveted to me, I remain the same dude, a simple guy as before,” the singer smiled slyly at the camera.

However, the sincere artist noted that earlier, before all this hype around him, he was more open to the world. He wanted to share something wonderful with literally everyone, now he understands that he has to be more secretive, withdrawn in order to continue working – such is the standard, in principle, retribution for popularity.

When asked by a fan about how he felt surrounded by so much media and public attention, Kaariya replied, “Yes, the environment was very tense and quite stressful, it’s hard for a person to withstand this, but I still liked it! For a couple of weeks at Eurovision, I had practically no free time, but sometimes I still managed to even feel homesick.”

Another fan asked what he was thinking during the final performance. The artist liked the question, and he practically revealed the secret of his amazingly liberated behavior on stage:

I tried to remember this moment and get as much pleasure from it as possible. But in general, at such moments there is no time to think, you are focused on what you are doing. Concentrated as much as possible and, of course, as relaxed as possible. I was ecstatic and a little confused, like a little boy in a candy store!

When asked if he was afraid of failing (a possible loss was implied, of course), Kaaria suddenly led his thoughts into the wrong steppe:

You see, everything on stage is arranged so that if you screw up, you can quickly fix everything. We had many versions of this production and many rehearsals, so there was nothing to worry about. It was a live show, and anything can happen during a live show.

The artist does not avoid the theme of his honorable, but still bitter second place and courageously recognizes the result. Moreover, he has a powerful trump card behind him – the first place in televoting (4th place from the professional jury gave the final result in total). Of course, he says that he hoped to win when he looked at himself in the dressing room mirror before going on stage, but …

“But I didn’t expect it,” he admits. – I understood that 30 more people now want to win, just like me. In the end, whoever wins wins. Of course, at the very beginning, when we just wrote the song and released it for the first time, we thought that we were going to Eurovision to win. We thought we really had a chance. But that didn’t happen… I was sad, but I managed and now I’m fine. I’m not the type to get stuck in failure. I do not consider Eurovision a bad experience – on the contrary, I learned a lot there, but I no longer plan to take part in this competition. This year was my chance to win, and I will not have another. I don’t want to be an artist that people only remember from Eurovision…

By the way, about the Swedish singer Lorin, who overtook the Finn, Kaaria speaks in exceptionally respectful, syrupy-pink enthusiastic tones. However, his hilarious hooligan insides burst out in a playful parody of Lauryn’s victory, which he filmed for social networks. To the accompaniment of the winning song, the guy very funny “dances” her horizontal competitive yoga dance, mimicking the singer’s gestures and lying on a platform made of wooden pallets for freight transportation. These pallets, by the way, in the last few years have become a real symbol of Scandinavian practicality (what only they don’t make of them!) And at the same time beat the main props of his own act – a box of boards. Laughing at yourself is a special art, and the Finnish artist seems to master it flawlessly.

The track Cha-cha-cha was the first Finnish-language single ever to top the UK Songs Chart as well. On this occasion, many bigwigs of Western show business drew attention to him. And the Norwegian music producer Alan Walker has already offered to work together, and the guitarist Rammstein expressed his sympathy for him – everyone is waiting for the artist to continue his career. Kaaria is also thinking about a world tour and claims that 70 countries would like to see him with concerts already! The ambition outweighs even the incredible success of the Italian glam band Måneskin, which just after winning the Eurovision Song Contest two years ago got an incredible rise in the international career, but how this ambition will come true is still a question. Kaaria has not made a tour schedule yet, and in the near future he plans to release an album and write new funny and unusual hits.

The only thing the artist knows for sure about his future is that he will not record songs in English. He thinks it would be a big mistake on his part. “There is no need to change what is already good and people like it!” he explains. Fans of the Finnish musician from different countries also believe that if he starts singing in English, he will lose the opportunity to be as emotional, incendiary and bright as when performing songs in his native language.

And, of course, most of all Eurofans were interested in: why did Kaaria choose his stage image in such a bright green color? It turned out that at the very beginning of preparations for the competition, the costume was completely different – more classic in cut and bright yellow. You can still find a romantic guitar version of Cha-cha-cha on the net, which a Finnish guy sings while walking around in that yellow suit.

But then we decided to change everything. I said that I wanted something flashy that would attract special attention – in the end, the guys who make my wardrobe created this image. I didn’t choose a color on purpose, I just looked at the options and said whether what was offered suits me or doesn’t suit me. In the end, I approved this option, and they did a great job!

As a result, it was the bright green suit of Kaaria for Eurovision that “virused” his image. As the artist himself notes, he did not expect that he would meet so many fans in exactly the same costumes and with exactly the same hairstyles … Now he sits at home, digests all the tremendous experience he has received and comes up with a new image for another musical joke song.
