The exhibition at the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center will be held with the support of the SAFMAR Foundation

On October 20, 2022, with the support of the SAFMAR Charitable Foundation of Mikhail Gutseriev, the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center will open the exhibition “The World as Non-Objectivity. The birth of a new art: Kazimir Malevich, Pavel Filonov, Marc Chagall, Anna Leporskaya and others,” the foundation’s press service said. The exposition will feature 98 works from the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin Museum im. A.S. Pushkin, the State Hermitage Museum, the Research Museum at the Russian Academy of Arts, the Vyatka Art Museum, the Krasnodar Regional Art Museum, the Yaroslavl Art Museum and private collections. The exhibition will allow you to get acquainted with the work of the famous Soviet artist Kazimir Malevich and reveal the history of the creation of an innovative school of avant-garde art. In addition to the works of the founder of Suprematism, the exposition will also feature works by such artists as Marc Chagall, Lev Yudin, Konstantin Rozhdestvensky, Anna Leporskaya, Ilya Chashnik, Nikolai Suetin, Valentin Kurdov, Vera Ermolaeva, Mikhail Veksler, Pavel Filonov, Mikhail Matyushin, Eduard Krimmer and many others.

The SAFMAR Charitable Foundation and the Jewish Museum have been implementing a joint program for 10 years aimed at familiarizing the general public with the achievements of world culture and art. Thanks to the support of the foundation, the Jewish Museum annually hosts exhibitions and lectures, organizes literary evenings and conferences. During the cooperation, the Charitable Foundation has supported more than 30 major cultural and educational projects organized at the site of the Jewish Museum and the Tolerance Center, which have become highlights in the cultural life of the capital.

Concern for the preservation of historical heritage, assistance to the spiritual revival of Russia occupy a special place in the activities of the Charitable Foundation, the founder of which is the famous Russian philanthropist and businessman Mikhail Gutseriev.
