The editors of “MK” incendiary presented the Theater Award

Big stars and promising talents, zero pathos, a lot of smiles. The MK Theater Award ceremony was held in its best traditions. Performances were noted, without which it is difficult to imagine the theatrical life of Moscow and even the country. And also all those who are directly related to these productions.

In the editorial office of MK, theater awards are awarded for the twenty-seventh time, but there are still surprises in such a seemingly well-knurled event. For the first time in the history of the award, the special prize of the editor-in-chief of MK Pavel Gusev was received by Andrey Sokolov, who staged and played the main role in the play Lyubol based on the play by Andrei Yakhontov in Lenkom. “This is my first award from MK, but the trouble is the beginning,” the People’s Artist of Russia noted, not without irony.

The theater award “MK” for all its years has perfectly strengthened its role as a springboard for young talents. Especially for them, there is a nomination “Beginners”, and in it, actress Alina Khodzhevanova for the play “A Dog with a Lady”, actors Pavel Popov for “War and Peace”, Andrei Veshkurtsev for “Yesenin’s Women” and Daniil were awarded for the main roles this year. Sperling for My Soul, Pavel. Prizes for the best male supporting role went to Vladimir Logvinov and Yuri Tsokurov. The best performance in this nomination was “A Dog with a Lady” by the “School of Dramatic Art” theater directed by Gosha Mnatsakanov.

RAMT actress Nelli Uvarova came to, on the one hand, support her colleagues in the Youth Theater, on the other hand, as a participant in the best performance about Moscow, Saveliy’s Days, which was awarded the prize for the best ensemble.

Everyone knows the phrase that brevity is the sister of talent. Everyone loves to receive awards, but no one likes to wait out long speeches. Here the joy from meeting each other and from the recognition of their work is concentrated. Everyone knows each other, they follow each other’s premieres.

– What does the performance “My Soul Pavel”, which won the award, mean to you personally?

— I love this performance very much, despite the fact that I am not involved in it. I’ve watched it twice and I’m ready to watch it again. The final breaks me completely, I always cry and therefore I am very happy for our young actor Daniil Shperling, who also received the prize for best male role. He deserves it.

– We can not help but ask about creative plans …

– I started rehearsing the play “The Woman of Lazarus” based on the novel by Marina Stepanova, staged by Alexei Zolotovitsky. This is very interesting stuff! This story excites me, I’m in anticipation.

In the nomination “Half-meters”, where actors and directors are already recognized, but at the same time more than promising, there was a small star battle, which, however, ended quite peacefully. The prize for the best male role went to Yuri Anpilogov for the incarnation of the title character in the play “Peter I”.

For the most striking female images, actresses were awarded who do not need to be especially introduced. Nevertheless, their throne speeches sounded very touching.

– To go on stage at the Moscow Art Theatre. Gorky was very exciting and responsible, ”said Ekaterina Strizhenova, holding the award for the female supporting role in the play “Yesenin’s Women”. – When I informed Oleg Alexandrovich Strizhenov about this, who once shone on the stage of this theater, he for the first time (and we have been living together with his son for thirty-five years) said that he was proud of me.

Ekaterina Volkova, who received the award for Best Actress in the already mentioned play “Yesenin’s Women”, shared her impressions of this work with MK.

– I am grateful that my work was so highly appreciated, the very “dangerous” role of Isadora Duncan. Playing world stars, legendary personalities is always a risk of being rejected. And then somehow it all happened. And I have the opportunity to live the life of Isadora Duncan, to love Yesenin. In fact, Duncan’s temperament is very close to me, in some ways I am also a revolutionary person, I always want to change something, to do more than I can. And if I do something, it is in the name of something huge.

What will be your next “revolution”?

– Today in the Moscow Art Theater they pour water, we play in the water. The dedication of the actors is simply amazing. “Unexpectedly, unexpectedly”, Valentin Rasputin… There is no coverage of the theme of the 90s, but it will be grandiose. It is impossible to compare, but it will be very spectacular – not water, but our tears, the tears of the actors. And 100% tears of the audience.

The nomination “Maters”, of course, is perceived as a big star engagement, however, in the best traditions of the “MK” award, Vera Alentova, receiving an award for the role of Helena Rubinstein in the production of the same name by the Pushkin Theater, immediately introduced a share of healthy frivolity into the process.

“Unfortunately, masters are not centimeters, but age,” said the famous actress. – In general, artists are crazy people, it’s better to stay away from them before the premiere at home, but it’s good that there is Marina Raikina, a holy person, a kind angel who will not only console, but also invite you to get a plate.

Victor Verzhbitsky, holding the prize for the best male role in The Master and Margarita, noted that he had no thoughts about the award when he worked on the image of Woland, but it was very pleasant to receive it from MK.

“War and Peace” by Rimas Tuminas and “My Soul Pavel” by Alexei Borodin were recognized as the best performances of the large form, and “Two” by Dmitry Krymov – in the small form in the “Masters” category. The presentation of these prizes was accompanied by sincere wishes of health to the director of “War and Peace” Rimas Tuminas, who is now preparing for a complex operation in Israel.

After the presentation of the awards, the winners of the 27th season were able to communicate in an informal setting. True, at the editorial “wall of fame” photojournalists and journalists lay in wait for them with requests to leave their autographs. Vera Alentova wished everyone “Easy style! Strong line! Clear thought! ”, And Viktor Verzhbitsky signed not on his own behalf, but on behalf of his main character – Woland. “Don’t be afraid of your desires – it’s unreasonable” – such a quote from Mikhail Bulgakov’s The Master and Margarita has become part of the editorial space.
