The award found the master
At the end of the 2022 season, Moskovsky Komsomolets traditionally summed up its 27th theater award. In addition to the “Maters”, “Half-Maters” and “Beginners” in the special nomination “Master” then we decided to award the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Mark Rozovsky. For objective reasons, Mark Grigoryevich could not come to the ceremony, but the award found its owner.
On February 13, at the press center of the editorial office, Pavel Gusev, editor-in-chief of MK, presented Rozovsky with the famous “emkash” porcelain plate, annually produced for the laureates of the award in a limited edition. In response, Mark Rozovsky read a poem from the last book, “Poems on the sly”:
My homeland is a desk,
And the Fatherland is a pure stage.
No replacement needed
And yes, I haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Maybe the country doesn’t need me
And she will manage without me.
But my writing is not for sale,
And the stage is at a good price.
The guest of the editorial office also spoke about the upcoming 40th anniversary of the theater “At the Nikitsky Gates”: “We are happy that for all forty years our first theater, and then the theater, showing performances on two stages, has been working with full houses. We have our own audience, our own repertoire and development concept. I invite you on March 27 to come to our holiday. Here is such a coincidence: International Theater Day and the birthday of our theatre.”
