The dollar exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange at 12:42 Moscow time rose to 93.04 rubles/$. The American currency exceeded the mark of 93 rubles. for the first time since February 9.
By 12:45 Moscow time, the US currency had slightly slowed down its growth and amounted to 93.03 rubles/$. At the same time, the euro rose by 0.67% to 100.66 rubles/€.

On February 16, the Central Bank kept the key rate at 16%. Also, the head of the regulator, Elvira Nabiullina, said that she does not see the need to extend the mandatory sale of foreign currency earnings by exporters. According to her, there are more effective measures to stabilize the exchange rate, including increasing the key rate.
