Ambassadors of the Moscow business community started working in friendly countries. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of the capital Natalya Sergunina, the press service of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of Moscow reports.
“Ambassadors will help entrepreneurs find reliable partners, organize work with distributors, retail networks and marketplaces,” she said.
Another important task is to create the image of Moscow as a supplier of high quality products and technologies, Sergunina added. The new program will make it easier for Moscow companies to enter international markets, the press service of the department explained.
Sergunina explained that business ambassadors will promote goods and services of city enterprises in friendly countries. In particular, they will personally communicate with buyers and partners and will be able to find out what products are in demand in the region. The first representatives have already started work in India, Egypt and Thailand. By the end of 2023, three more countries will appear on the list, she specified.
The program of the Moscow Export Center (MEC) includes more than 30 services for exporters, including participation in international exhibitions and promotion through foreign marketplaces. The department’s press service noted that during the year, Moscow business signed new contracts with companies from 26 countries, including Latin America, Africa, Asia, the CIS and the Middle East.
