The Deposit Insurance Agency extended zero rates on a number of premiums for the first six months of 2023

The Board of Directors of the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) decided to extend the zero additional and increased additional rates of insurance premiums. The rate refers to contributions for the first half of 2023. This is stated in Telegram agencies.

“The Board of Directors considered the issue of insurance premium rates for banks. It was decided to establish an additional and increased additional rates of insurance premiums payable by banks participating in the deposit insurance system to the mandatory deposit insurance fund in the amount of 0% of the base rate for the settlement periods of the first and second calendar quarters of 2023,” follows from the message.

The zero rate on these deposits has been held since February 2022. It was established to improve the ability of banks to manage liquidity. An additional contribution is made by banks whose rates are 2-3 percentage points higher than the market average. An increased additional contribution is made by banks that raise rates by at least 3 percentage points, and credit institutions with an unstable financial situation.

Prior to the introduction of the zero rate, it was 25% and 300% of the base rate.
