The decrease in the Moscow exchange index set a record since October 2022 – Kommersant

Today, August 16, by 17:29 Moscow time, the Moscow Exchange index was 3037.89 points, down 2.48% since the start of trading. This was the biggest drop in the index since October 2022. August 4, Moscow exchange index went down 1.5% below 3100 points, the biggest hourly drop since October 18, 2022.
The leaders of the decrease were the shares of the following companies:
- Rosseti (-4.12%);
- VK (-3.82%);
- RUSAL (-3.74%);
- Aeroflot (-3.57%);
- NLMK (-3.56%).

By data Moscow exchange today, August 16, at the opening of the index was 3109.46 points, the maximum value of the index was 3122.34 points, the minimum – 3015.57 points. By 17:50, the Moscow Exchange index was 3048.79 points (-2.13%).
