The decision to confiscate the property of the Pokrovsky concern in favor of the Russian Federation has come into force

The Civil Division of the Krasnodar Regional Court upheld the decision of the first instance to turn over the property of the Pokrovsky concern to the state, reports TASS citing a law enforcement source. The initiator of the process was the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.

As before reported “Kommersant”, in October 2023, the Labinsky City Court of the Krasnodar Territory granted the application of the Prosecutor General’s Office to turn over the assets of Pokrovsky in favor of the state in connection with the violation of anti-corruption norms by the holding’s beneficiary Andrey Korovayko. The court recognized that Andrei Korovayko’s business was based on his corruption income received while working in the plenipotentiary representative office of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District. Currently, Andrei Korovayko and his business partner Arkady Chebanov are wanted on charges of organizing a criminal community and other crimes.

The assets of the Pokrovsky concern, immediately after the decision of the court of first instance, were transferred to the Federal Property Management Agency; the operational management of the enterprises is carried out by Agrocomplex Labinsky LLC. The concern’s land bank is 215.6 thousand hectares; the holding includes cattle farms, pig farms, sugar factories and a meat processing plant. The Labinsky agricultural complex does not comment on the decision of the regional court. Earlier, the press service of Labinsky reported that an audit and assessment of the value of the assets of the Pokrovsky concern, transferred under the management of the Federal Property Management Agency, are currently underway. The management team’s findings will be made public in detail in a few months, but it is already known that the value of Pokrovsky’s assets is less than 100 billion rubles.
