The Crimean communications operator Miranda-Media reported that on May 26 it was subjected to one of the largest hacker attacks in the history of the company. On that day, there were problems with connecting to the Internet in the republic.

“It took 16 hours to eliminate it. In addition, an attempt was made to destroy the infrastructure of a convergent telecom operator. The company apologizes to customers for the inconvenience, ”the operator’s press release, which is at the disposal of Kommersant, says.

To date, the network infrastructure has been completely restored, information services are only partially available for security purposes: payment for services is not yet available. The operator’s website also does not work, access to it is being restored, follows from the press release.

On May 26, Crimean media reported that subscribers in Crimea and Sevastopol could not connect to the Internet. Miranda Media then explained that an accident had occurred on the operator’s networks, without specifying the details.
