The Arbitration Court of the Sverdlovsk Region satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office for the transfer of shares in the plants of the industrial group of the Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant (CHEMK) to state ownership. This is stated in published today, February 26, the court decision. According to the supervisory authority, the privatization carried out in the 1990s was illegal.

The claim was sent on February 5. As part of it, the Prosecutor General’s Office sought to recover three ChEMK enterprises in favor of the Russian Federation. The agency claims that their privatization was illegal, since it required permission from the Russian government. Now, according to the plaintiff, the enterprises have come under the control of residents of unfriendly states, and their products are exported at a reduced cost to the USA and Europe. The management of ChEMK assured that it was dealing with a metal trader abroad, to which it supplied products for export.
