The Sverdlovsk Regional Court ordered Ural Airlines not to automatically include consent to the provision of additional services in the contract for the carriage of passengers, it follows from messages press service. Thus, the court overturned the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Yekaterinburg.

Previously, the Rospotrebnadzor office for the Astrakhan region filed a claim for the protection of consumer rights in the Ekaterinburg court. The lawsuit stated that when purchasing tickets from Ural Airlines, additional services are automatically taken into account: insurance, meals, online doctor. When registering, clients are not provided with information about additional services or the choice of certain options.

The Rospotrebnadzor office asked the court to oblige the airline to stop automatically including paid terms in the carriage contract and to communicate the decision to consumers through the media. The Oktyabrsky District Court rejected the claim. In this regard, the plaintiff filed an appeal with the Sverdlovsk Regional Court. He ruled that automatic consent when issuing air tickets cannot be considered voluntary consent, even if the citizen can refuse the service.
