The Leninsky District Court of Kursk satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia and converted into federal ownership the shares of Konti-Rus JSC and 100% of the shares in the authorized capital of Candimax LLC, Merletto Capital LLC and CC Merletto LLC. About it reported Telegram channel of the united press service of the judicial system of the Kursk region.
According to the lawsuit, the Prosecutor General’s Office established an association of eight individuals whose activities are subject to recognition as extremist and prohibition. The group is united by “common ideological and property interests that have a pronounced anti-Russian character.” This group mainly operates in Ukraine, as well as in certain regions of Russia. Their activities are “directed against the life and health of Russians, the security of society and the state.”
The Prosecutor General’s Office claims that all of them discredit the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and also provide active financial support to the armed formations of Ukraine.
“The presence of these organizations under the control of the association leads to the enrichment of its members and the development of the financial base. The purpose of the lawsuit is not only to ban an extremist association on the territory of the Russian Federation, but also to actually suppress its activities by eliminating the sources through which the material base of members of the illegal group is formed,” the statement says.
The main beneficiary of Konti is Ukrainian businessman Boris Kolesnikov, who in 2010–2012. served as Deputy Prime Minister under President Viktor Yanukovych. The company has been operating in Russia since 2004.
